GIVEAWAY: PYP’s Concert at Christmas

The Portland Youth Philharmonic’s Concert-At-Christmas is a holiday tradition without the calories.

Instead of reaching for more cookies, Musical Director David Hattner invites you to satisfy your holiday sweet tooth with the Portland Youth Philharmonic’s annual, festive and family-friendly Concert-at-Christmas on December 26, 2013 at 7:30 p.m. at the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall.

Ticket prices for this concert range from $16-$50. To order, call the PYP office at (503)223-5939, Monday through Friday, 9am-5pm, or visit the PYP website: PYP participates in the Arts for All program.

Funding for PYP’s 90th Season is provided in part by the James and Marion F. Miller Foundation, the Oregon Cultural Trust, the Regional Arts and Culture Council, Work for Art and the Oregon Arts Commission.

The PYP, founded in 1924, is America’s first established youth orchestra. Members of the association range in age from 7-23, are accepted based on audition and come from 100 different schools throughout Northwest Oregon and Southwest Washington. There are five ensembles under the PYP umbrella. The Philharmonic Orchestra presents a full concert series in the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall that closely parallels that of a professional symphony orchestra. More information is available at
