Spring Whale Watching Week. Volunteers at great whale watching sites help others spot the whales. About 30 gray whales per hour migrate past the Oregon coast during the peak southbound migration. Whale watching week Starts March 25 and runs through March 31. 

Penny’s Puppets: Super Hero Machine. Super Donkey believes that everyone has a super hero inside of them waiting to be discovered. Come sing, laugh and discover the surprise ending to this heroic tale. An Original mini-musical puppet production by Penny’s Puppet Productions.

Storytime with Olive &Dingo. Come join O & D for storytime with songs, stories, comedy and balloon animals for young children and their families. Olive and Dingo are sweet, friendly, non-scary, clowns who love singing, riding their tall bicycles and sharing good times with their fans!

Spring Break Extravaganza. Head to Holladay Park for daily drop-in crafts from 12 pm- 2 pm, then stick around from 2 pm-4 pm for video games galore in this mobile game truck with games for players of all ages.

OMSI Science Night at the Oregon Garden. OMSI will be on-site at the Oregon Garden Resort with science equipment and challenges guaranteed to thrill youngsters, perplex adults and offer an unforgettable science experience.

Saturday, April 1

Open Gym Sensory Saturdays.   Family friendly open gym time every Saturday at Spectra’s Sensory Saturday, an all inclusive play time for families.

Kids’ Club: Edible Rainbow at Al’s Gardens. Starting vegetable seeds is a fun and rewarding project in early spring. Learn about vegetables and start many favorites to take home and grow. Children can watch their seeds sprout into a rainbow of fresh veggies that are ripe for the pickin’ come summer.

Easter Bunny Welcome Party. Help welcome the Easter Bunny with music, games and prizes, balloon artistry, cupcake decorating, crafts and the opportunity to meet Rojo the llama and Napolean the alpaca.

Saturday Crew – Arbor Month Edition at Hoyt Arboretum. Volunteer to spruce up the arboretum during Arbor Month! Saturday crew volunteers assist Hoyt Arboretum’s horticulturist with trail maintenance, invasive species removal, special projects and more.

Cuentos y CancionesStories, songs and rhymes are presented in Spanish for families with children 0-6 years old.

Sunday, April 2

Pointed Man Band. Join Pointed Man Band [Dan Elliott] for family-friendly weekend music fun on the mats at Upper Westside Gym.

Amazing Bubble Man. Louis explores the breath-taking dynamics of bubbles, combining comedy and artistry with audience participation and enough spellbinding bubble tricks to keep everyone mesmerized.

Family Tour at the Portland Art Museum. Explore the Museum with a docent skilled in bringing art to life. Public tours depart from the Park Avenue entrance. The theme for April 2 is color.

The Rabbit Hollow in Vancouver. Hop on the bunny shuttle and visit The Rabbit Hollow. Enjoy a relaxed and fun family-filled experience as you wander through the forest which is home to a number of bunnies
