Beginning Saturday, December 3 and lasting through Sunday, December 11, the Lan Su Chinese Garden will be offering one free admission for each donation of a non-perishable food item. All food donated with go to benefit the Oregon Food Bank. Last year, visitors donated 11,000 pounds of food during the garden’s nine free days.

The Garden is a lovely oasis in downtown Portland, no matter the season. It is among the most authentic Chinese gardens outside of China. And if it gets too cold, you can always warm up in the garden’s tea house.

The Oregon Food Bank provides emergency food to people who are hungry through a cooperative statewide network of hunger-relief agencies. You can do even more to help the Oregon Food Bank by signing up to volunteer with them during our PDX Parent Cares family-friendly volunteer event, taking place on January 20 and 21.
