Cool Like that: Melon Sorbet

One of the many advantages of seasonal eating is that nature often provides nutrients that fit the season. Summer’s filled with cooling vegetables and juicy fruits to get us through warm months. In addition to their high water content, melons which peak in August, also contain antioxidants such as vitamin C, beta carotene and lycopene, making them the perfect thirst-quenching snack.

This summer don’t limit yourself to melon salads and skewers. Blend up a low-sugar, nutrient-rich, dairy-free frozen treat that is sure to help beat
the heat and have the kids asking for more.
