Featured School of the Week: Frontier Charter Academy

From our friends at Frontier Charter Academy

Enroll today in Oregon’s innovative online school!

What happens when students and teachers come first? Here at Frontier Charter Academy, funds don’t go to big corporate curriculum providers but instead toward high quality digital learning tools and teacher salaries. When teachers have the power to create their own real-world, meaningful materials, students reap the benefits.

Frontier Charter Academy is a virtual public charter school serving students grades K through 11 (adding 12th next year) throughout Oregon. Their mission is to prepare students for the economies of tomorrow. Because we can’t simply rely on outdated models of education, FCA created a model founded on inquiry, problem-solving, and creative collaboration to get students ready for a future with jobs that haven’t even been imagined yet.

Founded by educators, parents, and community members, Frontier Charter Academy is committed to offering a high-quality, meaningful, authentic learning experience for students by providing the latest technology and tools available. Students engage in interactive, collaborative lessons taught by highly-qualified Oregon licensed teachers. To ensure that students collaborate and develop workplace skills, each student receives a Chromebook as well as access to Google Apps for Education and the Canvas learning platform.

Do you have questions about what a day at online school looks like? Want to learn more about FCA’s philosophy or teachers? Head on over to their website to learn more. And if you’re interested in enrolling students for the upcoming school year, visit their enrollment portal to get started and worth with a local enrollment specialist.
