After a busy summer, it can feel nice to calm down and snuggle up with some music and some crayons–especially as the weather turns cooler and grayer. Local artist Kelli Welli is here to help, with a silly song about turtles and some fun free printables.

About Kelli Welli: Kelli is the daughter of two fine artists—her mother, a wearable artist and illustrator and her father, an oil painter and conga player. As a child, Kelli did a stint as a French clown named Rosebud; started kindergarten from a tent; lived in an octagon-shaped house on stilts with her one-eyed cat named Mighty Mouse; had a best friend named Summer Wind O’Redwoods; and had 50+ hamsters at one point. Kelli is now the lucky mom of twin toddlers, a boy and a girl. She’s been writing songs and stories for a long time—find more at Kelli Caldwell – Songwriter—but some of her first songs were kid’s songs, written long before she had kids of her own. Her debut EPs of original lullabies and animal songs was released in 2016—both were Editor’s Picks on CD Baby. Another EP of Love Songs for kids is due out soon, as well as a full album, “Ooh La La Too Doo Na Na Oop Bop Oop Bop Ribbit,” which due out this year.
