Spanish Nino Time in SE PDX. Spanish Niño Time-PDX is a 30 minute drop-in Spanish Playgroup for infants up to 5 years old. Come and expose your child to a second language!

The Child’s Frightful Fantasy – A Children’s Opera in Beaverton. When an angry child defies his mother, destroys his room, and tortures his animal friends instead of finishing his homework, the broken furniture, wounded pets, and even disgruntled Mr. Arithmetic himself decide to teach the boy a lesson! Performances of the children’s opera The Child’s Frightful Fantasy will serve as drop off points for donations to the Oregon Food Bank.

$5 After 5 at the Portland Art Museum. Every Friday evening, the Portland Art Museum invites you to have a different Museum experience—a little bit more relaxed, more interactive, and a more social experience. Admission is just $5 after 5 pm.

SOMETHING CHRISTMAS THIS WAY COMES: A Sketchy Journey in North PDX. Welcome to The Ape’s holiday show: a magical, musical buffoon adventure. Saturday, December 9

Winter Celebrations in Milwaukie. Get in the holiday spirit by celebrating winter traditions from around the world and enjoying a special performance from Portland Chamber Music. Learn about Hanukkah, Christmas, and Kwanzaa through music, games and food.

Christmas at Fort Vancouver. Experience the sights and sounds of the 1840s holiday season. Visitors will be able to view and participate in activities undertaken by residents at the fort during the holiday season. Enjoy Wreath Making, Holiday Beverages, Caroling, and more!

Winter Holidays Fun at the Portland Tram in SW PDX. Before the holiday crush, take some time to relax with the family at the Portland Aerial Tram. There will be holiday-themed crafts so even the littlest ones can make a gift to share. Be sure to stop by the photo booth for a family portrait with the Tram.

Who is That Reindeer in SE PDX. Will there be a Christmas Morning this year? Possibly not! This Christmas Eve, Rudolph loses both his memory and the glow of his cheery red nose. How can he lead Santa’s Sleigh through the fog? This marionette puppet show is fun for all ages!

Portland Opera To Go: Mozart’s The Magic Flute in SE PDX. This season, Portland Opera To Go is hitting the road with an adaptation of Mozart’s The Magic Flute. Full of action, humor, true love and hard-won triumphs, The Magic Flute is a tale of young people grappling with growing up and taking responsibility for themselves and their convictions—all wrapped up in Mozart’s gorgeous music. Free Metro Parks Day in Fairview, Gresham and NE PDX. Get out and explore nature on Metro Free Parks Days!

Dreams of OZ in NE PDX. Come get swept away to the land of Oz! Created by the traveling troupe of storytellers from Joy & Wonder Theatre, all ages are welcome to enter and discover the inhabitants of Oz who need your help! As an audience member, you’ll journey through the story and the space, interacting with the beloved familiar faces of Oz at your own comfort level.

Miller Family Free Day in SW PDX. On December 12 the Portland Art Museum turns 125 years old! Help celebrate with a family-friendly day of art making, gallery experiences, tours, and cake!

Holiday Portrait Studio in SE PDX. Let local theatre makers, Hand2Mouth, help you get the holidays done in style at their third annual holiday portrait studio. We will provide the costumes, wigs, backdrop and photographer. All you have to do is show up and smile. Stick around for festive cocktails, music, and gift vendors.
