Inclusive Education and Support Trainings for Parents

Figuring out special education and learning how to best support families members in the home is hard. Families start early, well before they are ready to send their kids off to elementary school. There are screenings, diagnosis and meetings, meetings, meetings to be had. It’s a lot to figure out, a lot to balance and it’s hard. It’s emotionally tiring. The good news, parents, is that there are people who want to help. Below is a list of organizations that offer assistance and training in the near future for everything from how to figure out IEP’s to tips for helping you understand your child’s sensory issues. I will add to it as I find more and please feel free to send me info you have at calendar@pdxparent.com.
