Measure 101 – What Families Should Know

Voting is now open for the Oregon Special Election. You have your chance to vote on Measure 101 until Tuesday, January 23 (sooner if you’re mailing in your ballot!).

The issue is whether to uphold certain taxes on healthcare insurance and hospital revenue to provide funding for Medicaid expansion, and has the potential to have a big impact on Oregon families.

We asked the main proponent for (Yes for Healthcare) and opponent of (Stop Healthcare Taxes) the measure to provide information to our readers about how a yes or no vote would effect Oregon children and families. You can find their responses here:

Measure 101: The Yes Perspective (by Yes for Healthcare)

Measure 101: The No Perspective (by Rep. Julie Parrish of Stop Healthcare Taxes)

Be informed! And vote!
