VIDEO: Elastic Band Splatter Art with CHAP

Looking for a little arts & crafts action, but without *too* much cleanup? Try out this project from Children’s Healing Art Project (CHAP) using supplies you probably already have at home. You just need a shoe box lid or something similar, a few elastic bands, some paint and some paper.

The result? Some pretty cool looking art without having to frantically follow your children’s movements with a wet towel.

About CHAP: CHAP brings the healing power of art to children and families facing medical challenges. At CHAP, children are known for their creativity and ingenuity — not by their disease, diagnosis or disability. Their innovative and inclusive healing arts programs are provided free of charge to children, teens and families affected by pediatric illness, disability or special need. CHAP provides Oregon’s only in-and-out of hospital interactive healing arts program. CHAP often hosts paid art workshops open to children of the public to help support our healing art programs. You can also book a party at CHAP. You can find out more about art parties and upcoming workshops at chappdx.org
